Star Agri Warehousing and Collateral Management, Asia’s leading post-harvest solutions company has recently announced the appointment of Mr. Jayant Chatterjee as their Business Head & Chief Operating Officer.
Mr. Chatterjee, a finance veteran with over 16 years of experience has worked across the BFSI sector with some of the highlights being in rural lending, third party distribution in the Banking sector, Product and Channel management across various banking verticals. In his previous stints, he worked with brands like Axis Bank, ICICI Bank, amongst others.
Speaking on the occasion MD, Star Agri –Mr. Amit Khandelwal said, “I want to take this opportunity to welcome Jayant onboard. With his deep knowledge, expertise, and extensive network in the rural financing space, he will prove quite instrumental in spearheading Star Agri’s operations and efforts to facilitate financing as a collateral manager on the pan-India basis. In addition, he will also advise the company on various matters from an entrepreneurial and product standpoint, customer insights, and Supply chain management.”
Mr. Jayant Chatterjee is an MBA graduate majoring in Finance. He started his career with ICICI as a trainee and moved up as a product manager at ICICI. In his previous stint, he worked as a Vice President, Rural lending at Axis Bank. He also has been instrumental in setting up various B2C startups.
