Qualifications and Eligibility

Candidates must hold a Bachelor of Fisheries Science (B.F.Sc.) from a recognized university in India as the minimum qualification requirement.

Candidates must meet specific criteria: sound health, suitable character, academic qualifications, and Indian citizenship. Exceptions require prior State Government approval.

The age range for eligibility is between 18 and 42 years.

Selection Procedure

Candidates must attend all written examination papers to remain eligible for consideration. Selection is based on merit in the written exam followed by a Computer Proficiency Test.

The Commission determines the standard and cut-off marks for selection, with candidates needing to meet minimum qualifying marks: OC, Sports Persons, Ex-Servicemen & EWS (40%), Backward Class (35%), and SCs & STs & PBDs (30%). However, meeting these marks doesn't guarantee selection; it only allows candidates to proceed to the next stage.

To apply for the post, the applicant must log in to the Commission's website https://psc.ap.gov.in/ using their registered OTPR number. If applying for the first time, the candidate must carefully fill out the OTPR application to obtain an OTPR ID.

Applicants must pay Rs. 250/- towards the application processing fee and Rs 120/- for the examination fee. However, certain categories, including SC, ST, BC, PBDs, Ex-Servicemen, and eligible residents of Andhra Pradesh, are exempt from the examination fee. Unemployed youth as per G.O.Ms.No.439 are also exempt but must submit a declaration. Applicants from other states must pay both fees to be considered.
