The Central Ground Water Board (CGWB) is inviting applicants for young professionals on a purely temporary basis at nearly 20 regional offices, including NR, Lucknow, and CHQ, Faridabad. The appointment will be for a period of 21 months or until the end of the National Aquifer Mapping and Management program (NAQUIM) action plan, whichever occurs earlier, from the date of appointment. Qualifications and Experience
Young professional (Hydrogeology)

Master's degree (M.Sc./M.S./M.Tech/M.Sc. Tech or equivalent) in Geology, Applied Geology, Earth Science, Geo Science, or Hydrogeology from a recognized university.

Experience in groundwater/hydrogeology is essential. Previous roles like Young Professionals, JRF, SRF, RA, or project fellows count as experience. Proficiency in GIS, computers (MS Word, Excel), and Geo Scientific software required.
Young professional (Legal)

Graduation in Law from a recognized university required.

Experience in their respective fields is required.
Age Limit: Maximum age of the applicant should not exceed 35 years.
Hiring Duration: Young professionals are initially engaged for up to 27 months or until the NAQUIM action plan ends, whichever is sooner. Their appointments are temporary and can be terminated without explanation.
Responsibilities
Young Professionals (Hydrogeology)
Integrating and analyzing field data for Aquifer mapping studies, processing NOC applications for groundwater extraction, assisting in NAQUIM-PIB project tasks, completing source sustainability studies, and aiding in training module preparation and data publication for CGWB.
Young Professionals (Legal)

Handle legal matters for CGWA, including drafting affidavits, managing court cases, and handling RTI-related issues.

They also draft public notices/directions and undertake any other tasks assigned by CGWA officials.
Monthly Remuneration
Rs.30, 000/- to 50,000/-
Selection Procedure
The screening committee will shortlist applications and will call candidates for interviews. Selection will be based on recommendations from the Consultant Evaluation Committee. Central Ground Water Board will notify selected candidates, who must present original certificates during interviews and at joining.
