Coconut Development Board (CDB), Kochi, Kerala, an autonomous organization under the Department of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare is inviting candidates for the post of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) on a deputation basis (including short-term contract). Qualifications  and Eligibility

Qualifications

  • A Doctorate in Horticulture or Life Sciences from a recognized University with a minimum of fifteen years' experience in horticulture development, research, production, or extension, including five years in coconut development; or

  • A Master's degree in Management with at least twenty years of managerial experience, including ten years in horticulture development, of which five years should be in coconut development.

Eligibility

  • Experienced officers from Central or State Governments, recognized Research Institutions, Agriculture Universities, or Public Sector Undertakings are eligible for the position.

  • They should either hold a regular post not below the rank of Joint Secretary to the Government of India or hold a regular post in Level-14 of the pay matrix or equivalent.

Tenure: The deputation period is up to five years or until the candidate turns sixty, whichever comes first. This includes any prior deputation period in another post, within the same or different organization.

Monthly Remuneration

1,44,200-2,18,200/- Per Month

Selection Procedure

Candidates who meet the prescribed eligibility requirements and are shortlisted by the screening committee will be considered for selection.

  • Candidates eligible for the position should submit three duly filled-in application forms along with attested photocopies of their APAR for the preceding five years and up to 2022-23, as well as supporting documents for educational qualifications. 

  • These documents must reach the Under Secretary (MIDH), Horticulture Division, Department of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, New Delhi, within 45 days from the publication date of this advertisement in the Employment News. 

  • The application should be typed in Arial font, size 11, as per the prescribed format. 

  • Additionally, a soft copy of the application and relevant documents in a single PDF file may be emailed to ushorticulture-agri@gov.in within the specified time limit.
