ICAR-National Bureau of Plant Genetic Resources (NBPGR), Pusa Campus, New Delhi is inviting applications for the positions of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and Scientific/Administrative Assistant. These positions are available under a DST-funded project aimed at enhancing traits for low rancidity, high shelf life, and improved nutrient profile in pearl millet germplasm collection.
Position Details
A. Junior Research Fellow (01 Position)

Emoluments: Rs. 37,000 per month + 27% House Rent Allowance (HRA)

Qualifications:

Essential: Post Graduate Degree in Basic/Allied Sciences (Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Material Science, Environmental Science, or any discipline of Life Sciences) OR Graduate/Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course (Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Material Sciences, etc.).

Candidates selected through National Eligibility Tests (NET) such as CSIR-UGC NET or GATE, or through national-level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions are preferred.

Desirable: Research experience in analytical techniques in Biochemistry/Material Science.

Upper Age Limit: 28 years (General & EWS category), with relaxations available for SC/ST/Differently Abled/Women candidates (up to 33 years) and OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates (up to 31 years)
B. Scientific/Administrative Assistant (01 Position)

Emoluments: Rs. 18,000 per month + 27% HRA

Essential: Graduation in any discipline.

Desirable: Experience in Biochemistry-related analysis, handling instruments, data entry, etc.

Upper Age Limit: 50 years (General & EWS category), with relaxations available for SC/ST/Differently Abled/Women candidates (up to 55 years) and OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates (up to 53 years).
