ICAR-National Bureau of Plant Genetic Research (NBPGR) is inviting applications to attend an offline interview for the position of Junior Research Fellow under the DBT funded project "Mainstreaming Corn-Based Bio-Polymers as an Alternative to Single-Use Plastic” at New Delhi. Qualifications  and Experience

  • Post Graduate Degree in Basic/Allied Sciences (such as Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Material Science, Environmental Science, or any discipline of Life Sciences) or a Graduate/Post Graduate Degree in Professional Courses (such as Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Material Sciences, etc.)

  • Additionally, candidates selected through national-level examinations like CSIR-UGC NET, GATE, or other selection processes conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MoE, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, NISER, etc are also eligible to apply.

  • Candidates should have experience in plant biochemistry or handling basic chemistry biopolymer samples.

  • The upper age limit is 28 years for General and EWS category applicants, with age relaxation available for specific categories.

Monthly Remuneration

Rs.37000+24% HRA

Selection Procedure

  • Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of the document submitted and will be notified via email or phone for the interview. 

  • The final selection will be based on performance in the interview.
