ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), New Delhi, is inviting applications for two project-based positions under a DBT-funded research project titled “Targeted Editing of Host Susceptibility Factors to Engineer Multiple Disease Resistance in Tomato.” The positions are purely temporary and contractual, created only for the duration of the research project.

1. Research Associate (RA)

Salary: Rs. 58,000 + 27% HRA per month (fixed)

Essential Qualification: Ph.D. in Genetics / Plant Pathology / Virology / Molecular Biology / Biotechnology or other relevant fields in Life Sciences

Desirable: Experience in Genomics, Transgenics, Tissue Culture, and Molecular Biology Techniques

Age limit: Up to 40 years for men and 45 years for women as on the date of the advertisement. Age relaxation applicable as per norms.
2. Semi-Skilled Labor

Salary: Rs. 19,279 per month (consolidated)

Essential Qualification: 10th or 12th pass

Desirable: Experience in whitefly rearing and culture

Age limit: Up to 40 years for men and 45 years for women

Terms and Conditions

Contractual Basis: Both positions are temporary and co-terminus with the project. No claim for regular appointment at IARI or ICAR shall be entertained.

Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST and women, 3 years for OBC.

No TA/DA: Candidates will not be paid any travel or daily allowance for attending the interview.

Relatives Clause: If the applicant has any relative working at ICAR/IARI, it must be declared in advance.

NOC Requirement: If employed elsewhere, candidates must produce a No Objection Certificate from their current employer.
