Qualifications and Eligibility

BSc Agriculture, BSc (with zoology, botany, and chemistry), Zoology, Plant Protection, or Life sciences from a recognized university or its equivalent. Additionally, possessing a Master's degree in Zoology with specialization in Entomology or Agricultural Entomology is considered desirable.

Experience in insect rearing, analysis of biological data, and evaluation of germplasm for biotic stresses, coupled with proficiency in Entomological techniques, would be advantageous.

The minimum age requirement for applicants is 21 years, while the upper age limit is set at 45 years.

Relaxation in age criteria is provided as per the Government of India rules, including a 5-year relaxation for SC/ST candidates, a 3-year relaxation for OBC candidates, and a 5-year relaxation for women.

A minimum of five candidates will be shortlisted for the YP-I position based on their academic qualifications as per the assessment criteria.
