31K Farmers of Jaipur Get Benefit of Free Rental Scheme for Agri Implements

In Jaipur, the agriculture department launched the free rental scheme for agricultural implements. During the pandemic it has proved to be a blessing for needful cultivators. More than 31,000 of the farmers are benefited from this scheme, which concluded on 31st July, 2021.

In Jaipur, the agriculture department launched the free rental scheme for agricultural implements.

During the pandemic it has proved to be a blessing for needful cultivators. More than 31,000 of the farmers are benefited from this scheme, which concluded on 31st July, 2021.

Mr. Lalachand Kataria, the state agriculture minister, said that this scheme was initiated through company named TAFE on 1st June, 2021 to provide comfort to small and marginal farmers having less than 2.5 acres of land in the state.

As per demand, till 31st of July 31,326 eligible farmers has been provided with free service through its renter by the TAFE company.

With the help of tractors and agriculture equipment, on 54,782 acres of land, 88,092 hours of work has been done.

Agriculture minister Lalachand Kataria announced, with 3,680 farmers the Jaipur district exceeded with taking the benefit.

Also Last year, similar services were provided by the agriculture department.

In the meantime, sowing of the Kharif crops has encouraged after good rains in the state in last week.

In the current Kharif season, the government have set a target of sowing around 1.63 crore hectares of land.

Till 31st July, 1.22 crore hectares of cultivation had taken place which is almost 75% of the targeted cultivation, reported by the agriculture department. This is slightly less than the previous year’s figures of 1.26 crore hectares of land during the same period.

The department expects that with the coming monsoon covering the state, sowing will facilitate and it will be able to achieve the target.
