CSC Agro has organized a webinar wherein Navin Chaudhary, Senior VP Head, Sambhu Kumar, Jharkhand State Head, Sukanya Chakravorty, SMP Group Founder and Anupam, Senior Manager Head participated to make this webinar successful for farmers, FPOs and other Agro companies
The aim of CSC is to take farmers towards development through ‘Vocal for Local’. Along with this, the major point of discussion were; how farmers can be protected from middlemen by using e-mart through CSC Agro and farmers were also informed about the market link facility in this webinar.
Navin Chaudhary, Head of CSC while addressing the event said that he connects himself with the farmers through this initiative. At the same time, he also expressed his desire to connect India with this initiative, so that the entire farming community can get the benefit of it.
CSC has informed that about 2400 farmers, producers and companies have already joined it and also talked about how VLEs can connect themselves with CSC (it’s not necessary for a VLE to be a FPO). Those who are not a FPO can also help farmers by joining CSC and selling their produce online, but those who are already associated with FPO or CSC. Priority will be given to them.
Navin Chaudhary also discussed about increasing the penetration of cold storage at every corner of Jharkhand. He want to implement this model to other states as well. For which he said that whoever has enough information on this matter, they can share the information. They will be given complete information on hand-holding.
Chaudhary also talked about the vision and mission of CSC and said our job is to pick up the produce from the farmers' fields and sell them online and delivering the right prices to the farmers' fields directly. To make this successful, CSC has taken this step along with SMP Group.
Sukanya Chakravorty, SMP Agro Founder said that farmers grow their produce well, but they are not able to sell those crops at the right price. Our team takes full responsibility of farmers to deliver the right prices for their produce. Along with this, it also teaches us how to keep vegetables properly.
Sambhu Kumar, Jharkhand Head has informed about how farmers can sell their crops online and also informed about harvesting and post- harvesting process in front of the farmers.
