AP Govt to Distribute YSR EBC Nestham Scheme in Markapuram on April 12

The state and central government actively introduce new schemes and facilities for the employment and betterment of women. Earlier, the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh YS Jagan Mohan Reddy introduced the YSR EBC Nestham Scheme.

Under this scheme, different financial assistance is given to women. Now, the Chief Minister and the Andhra Pradesh government are going to disburse the YSW EBC Nestham to women on 12th April 2023. Chief Minister will deposit cash to eligible accounts of women directly by pressing a button.

With the help of this scheme, the poor belonging to upper castes like Reddy, Brahmana, Kamma, Velama, and Kshatriya will get financial assistance benefits. Rs. 15000 will be credited to the account of poor women who falls between the age group of 45 to 60. To acquire the benefits of this scheme, the beneficiaries need to meet a few eligibilities. For example – the beneficiary should have an annual income of Rs. 10000 in rural areas and Rs. 12000 in urban areas.

In addition to this scheme, the Jagan Mohan government is also offering the YSR Cheyutha scheme to provide financial aid to BC, SC, ST, and poor women who are between the age of 45 to 60. Apart from YSR EBC Nestham and YSR Cheyutha scheme, the AP government has also released a scheme called “YSR Kapunestam”. This scheme benefits the poor sisters of Telaga, Kapu, Balija, and Ontar castes. 

What is YSR EBC Nestham Scheme?

The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy announced the YSR EBC Nestham scheme in January 2023. It is said that the economically poor women of the upper-class lie between the age of 45-60 years. The financial aid will be offered in three phases. The AP government has announced to disburse of Rs. 15000 to eligible women in the first phase. A total of 4 lakh poor women will be benefited in the first phase amounting to Rs. 589 crores.
