April 2022 is almost over, and if you have any critical bank-related work to finish before the end of the month, you should do so while keeping in mind that banks will be closed for three days in the second half of April 2022. For the rest of April 2022, all private and government banks will be closed for three days.
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) guidelines specify that on the stated dates, all public, commercial, foreign, cooperative, and regional banks in India must remain closed. The Negotiable Instruments Act Holiday, Real Time Gross Settlement Holiday, and Banks' Closing of Accounts are among the holidays announced by the RBI for lenders.
Banks will be closed for 3 days this week
21st April 2022: Banks will be closed in Tripura on the occasion of Garia Puja.
24th April 2022: Due to Sunday, banks will be closed.
29th April 2022: Banks will remain closed in Jammu and Kashmir on the occasion of Shab-I-Qadr/Jumat-ul-Vida.
Banks will be closed for 7 days in the month of May
1st May 2022 (Sunday): Banks will remain shut in Maharashtra due to the May day and in other states as well due to Sunday.
2nd May 2022 (Monday): Due to Maharshi Parshuram Jayanti, banks will be closed in numerous states.
3rd May 2022 (Tuesday): Banks will remain closed across the nation due to Eid al-Fitr.
4th May 2022 (Wednesday): In the state of Telangana banks will remain shut on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr.
9th May 2022 (Monday): On the day of Guru Rabindranath Jayanti, banks in West Bengal and Tripura will be closed.
16th May 2022 (Monday): Banks will be closed in several states due to Buddha Purnima.
24th May 2022(Tuesday): Banks will remain shut in Tripura due to the Birthday of Kazi Nazrul Islam.
