Bank Holidays: In February 2022, banks in India were closed for 12 days. Saraswati Puja/Shree Panchami/Basant Panchami and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's Jayanti were two significant occasions in the month.
Banks will remain shut for 13 days in the coming month of March 2022, according to the list of holidays that was released by India's central bank and Reserve bank of India. The major festivals that are falling in the month of March are Mahashivratri and Holi.
The holidays are divided into two categories by RBI, the national category and the regional category. All banks are closed on National holidays and on regional holidays some states allow the banks to be open.
And since bank closures may have an impact on customers who really need to physically visit a branch, it is pivotal to be aware of the holiday dates ahead of time. However, the ATMs and other online banking services will remain functional.
