We have some great news for PM Kisan Samman Nidhi beneficiaries and Jan Dhan women & labor account holders. Now the beneficiaries of these schemes will not have to go to any bank or far-flung ATM to withdraw funds. As they, will be given the facility to withdraw their money in the village itself. Amid Covid-19 lockdown 2.0, the central government is providing money to the account of millions of farmers and poor, so that no one has a problem in this difficult time.
Due to this, hundreds of people were gathering outside various banks to withdraw cash from their account. To avoid this problem & maintain government social distancing policy, the post office has started an important initiative. Under this, the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi & Jan Dhan account holders who come under Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana will get their cash at home.
This facility is especially provided for the people of Deoria district in Uttar Pradesh. There are about 222 access points including the branch post office and sub-office, which cover 3 to 4 gram panchayats. This facility will be given in these gram panchayats. All the account holders including PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, Jan Dhan and Shramik can avail the benefit of this facility.
Post office new initiative
Department of Posts, through the India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) has taken up this initiative to provide the money from door to door in the village. This work will be done by the postal assistant and postman through micro ATMs.
Who will get the benefit?
Only customers whose accounts are linked to Aadhaar number will be able to avail this facility. With the help of micro ATM, people will get money just by sitting in the village. In this way, there will be no rush to withdraw money from banks.
Account holder will be able to withdraw limited amount
The micro ATM facility allows an account holder to withdraw Rs. 5000. Apart from this, the post servant will be able to distribute around Rs. 25000 in a day through micro ATM.
Money withdrawal deadline will be fixed
The Gram Panchayat-wise date will be fixed to withdraw funds by Micro ATM facility. On this date, the post servant will reach the Gram Panchayat and distribute the amount. To avail the amount, the account holder has to put his thumb. After that, he will get the amount.
