On Wednesday, February 1, 2023, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the Union Budget for this year. Before the Lok Sabha election in 2024, this will be the Modi 2.0 government's final full budget.

At 11 am, Lok Sabha TV, Rajya Sabha TV, and DD News will begin broadcasting the Union Budget presentation live. The eagerly anticipated speech would also be broadcast on a number of private networks.

The whole budget document will be made available to the public via a mobile application called the "Union Budget Mobile App" following Sitharaman's speech. The entire collection of budget papers would be accessible through the app, according to the Finance Ministry. Both the Android and Apple OS platforms provide the app for download.

How to download the Union Budget Mobile App

On Android and iOS devices, the Google Play Store and Apple App Store, respectively, both provide the option to download the Union Budget Mobile App. The Union Budget Web Portal also offers a download link for the application (Indiabudget.Gov.In).

The app now contains data about the 2021–2022 and 2022–2023 budgets. It is easier to check necessary information since the information is divided into several categories.

The app will make all 14 budget documents, including the demand for grants (DG), the finance bill, and the yearly financial statement (often referred to as a budget) as required by the Constitution, easily accessible to MPs and the general public through the simplest digital convenience.

On January 26, the traditional "Halwa Ceremony," which symbolizes the completion of the Union Budget 2023–24 planning process, was conducted in North Block. Nirmala Sitharaman, the Union Finance Minister, and other Ministry representatives were present. Every year, the event is held prior to the Budget preparation "lock-in" process.

At the Ministry's headquarters, the Finance Minister stirred the "halwa" to start the ceremony before serving it to staff members.
