Delhi Weather

Delhi woke up to a foggy morning along with a shivering single digit temperature. As per Skymet weather, the difference between the maximum and minimum temperatures in Delhi-NCR narrowed down further as the Safdarjung Observatory recorded a minimum temperature of 5.2°C, while the Palam Observatory saw the temperature settle at 5.4°C. Moreover, this is the season’s lowest minimum temperature recorded in the national capital Delhi so far. It is also the lowest minimum the city has recorded in December in the last 6 years.

Meanwhile, the Palam area including the airport saw the visibility level drop below 100 m early morning today due to dense fog. Several flights were canceled and delayed due to the very poor visibility along with a huge jam in traffic.

The Air Quality Index has also worsened to “very unhealthy” which stands at 246 along with a temperature of 9 degrees at 8 AM of the morning on Friday.

The weather department also predicts similar conditions in the city for tomorrow as well. Foggy conditions are likely to prevail in Delhi-NCR and the temperatures are set to drop further, says Skymet.
