The Arogya Melas organised under the Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Jan Aushadhi Pariyojana directly benefited over 10,000 citizens. Jan Aushadhi medicines were also distributed at no cost in these camps, as were free doctor consultations.

At the mega level, health camps were held in 34 different locations. Similar small-scale health clinics were held at 1000 Jan Aushadhi Kendras across the country. During these camps, people were given free medical advice, path lab services, and dietary consultations.

Similarly, Heritage Walks (Health Walk Virasat ke Saath) were organised on a pan-India scale at 10 major historical sites in the country to disseminate Jan Aushadhi knowledge to the general public. "Jan Aushadhi Viraasat ke Saath, Health Heritage Walk" was the theme of the Heritage Walks. More than 500 people participated in these Heritage Walks in ten cities, including Delhi, Jaipur, and Mysuru.

Rajneesh Tingal, Joint Secretary, Department of Pharmaceuticals, led the Heritage Walk at Sunder Nursery in New Delhi, along with other senior government officials. The goal of this walk was to introduce the general public to the Jan Aushadhi Pariyojana.

The Department of Pharmaceuticals has planned a series of events in various cities from March 1st to March 7th, 2023, to raise awareness about the Jan Aushadhi Scheme. Seminars, programmes for children, women, and non-governmental organisations (NGOs), heritage walks, health camps, and many other activities are being organised at various locations across the country, involving PMBJK owners, beneficiaries, state/UT officials, public representatives, doctors, health workers, nurses, pharmacists, and Jan Aushadhi Mitras.

This scheme ensures that people in every part of the country have easy access to affordable medicine. The government has set a target of 10,000 Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Kendras (PMBJKs) by the end of December 2023.

PMBJP's product basket includes 1759 drugs and 280 surgical instruments. New medicines and nutraceuticals products, such as protein powder, malt-based food supplements, protein bar, immunity bar, sanitizer, masks, glucometer, oximeter, and so on, have also been introduced.
