Kerala Startup Mission will host a hackathon on the sidelines of the Rural India Business Conclave 2.0 (RIBC 2.0), which will begin on June 9. The hackathon's goal is to encourage the development of innovative technological solutions that will aid in agricultural expansion.

KSUM is organizing the Rural-AgriTech Hackathon in collaboration with the Central Plantation Crops Research Institute in Kasaragod. The event will take place over a five-day period (CPCRI).

The hackathon's goal is to create technologies that can be used to capitalize on the tourism opportunities that exist in rural India, as well as to generate technical solutions for the agricultural sector.

Anyone interested in participating in the hackathon, including professionals, researchers, startups, and students in the technology sector, can register for free.

The participant who comes up with the most innovative technology solution throughout the competition and also creates a prototype based on their idea will receive a cash prize of $50,000. Furthermore, the winner will be given the opportunity to personally pitch their proposal in order to win KSUM's innovation grant of 12 lakh.

Furthermore, participants who present the most effective solutions to agricultural issues, such as food production, will be given the opportunity to further develop their research in collaboration with CPCRI, with the ultimate goal of turning their concepts into marketable products.

The deadline for registration is the 26th of May 2022. KSUM is the Kerala Government's primary agency for entrepreneurship development and incubation initiatives in the state.
