KVS Admissions 2019-20 Update: First Merit List for Class 1 Releasing Today

The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) will release the 1st list of provisionally selected students for admission to Class 1 today, (26th March 2019) on the official website – www.kvsangathan.nic.in.

The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) will release the 1st list of provisionally selected students for admission to Class 1 today, (26th March 2019) on the official website – www.kvsangathan.nic.in.

After the first admission list, the second & third list will be published in the website on 9th April and 23rd April, 2019 respectively. Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan will publish the lists on the basis of the availability of seats.

It must be noted that the online registration process for admission to class 1 in Kendriya Vidyalaya schools for the academic session 2019-20 started on 19th March, 2019.

The registration for class 2 onwards (except class XI) will start from 2nd April at 8 am and will continue till 9th April evening. In the meantime, application forms for class XI will be issued offline after Central Board of Secondary Education class X result is announced. This year, the board has decided to announce class X result early. As per reports, it can be announced around 10th May, 2019.

The admission process will start within ten days after the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan declares the list of shortlisted candidates.

KVS admission

To recall, in 2018, a total of 6, 48,941 students had applied for around one lakh seats. As the admission procedure is online, KVS had published the list on time for the convenience of students. The list is available on the official website of the individual schools or institutions.

There is around 1,137 Kendriya Vidyalayas (schools) across the country. Hence the students will be shortlisted as per the priority category.
