With the ongoing outbreak of Coronavirus or COVID-19 pandemic, the agriculture sector has witnessed some substantial changes. Mr. K.K. Unni, Chairman Emeritus of CropLife India, will join us for a Facebook Live Session on 11th May 2020 at 12 pm, where he will be speaking about ‘Challenges in Indian Agriculture Post COVID-19’. CropLife India is not a profit oriented organization, wholly funded by membership. It works closely with CropLife Asia & CropLife International, the global parent organizations spread across 91 countries, to drive programs to promote safe, responsible and judicious use of crop protection solutions under the Integrated Pest Management (IPM) approach through Product Stewardship, Progressive Regulation, Intellectual Property Rights and Data protection.
About Mr. K.K. Unni
An agricultural Graduate with techno commercial background, K.K. Unni was immensely involved in the Green Revolution of 1960s on rice when he decided to build a career in crop protection chemicals and animal health products. His career spans over 50 years of experience wherein he had launched some amazing agrochmicals products, solving issues related to insects and weeds. He had previously worked in a German Head office for 3 years and became the first Indian M.D. in Hoechst Group of companies in India. As Chairman & Manging Director of MNC, he got involved in many marketing and advertising activities in the field of Agro Chemicals and Veterinary segments. He was the Chairman of Agro chemical Industry Association for over 10 years and presently serves as the Chairman Emeritus of CropLife India.
He has written his autobiography "The Agricultural Man" in 2019 to inspire young managers working in agro input industry. He was also mentor to many present captains of agrochem industry. He has retired and settled down in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.
