NIRF 2019: Top 10 Colleges in India, Six DU Colleges in the List

NIRF 2019: Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) has recently announced the NIRF Ranking 2019. It is interesting to know that Delhi University's Miranda House has been ranked the best college in India which is second time in a row.   

Though, last year there were five Delhi University colleges in the list. Now, the good news is that this year the number has increased to six. Presidency College in Chennai, one of the oldest government colleges of the country, has been ranked 3rd in the list.  Last year it was in the 5th position. The NIRF Ranking for the colleges was launched in 2017.

Other best undergraduate colleges under DU, which are also in the top 10 list, are Hindu College, St. Stephen's College, Lady Shri Ram College (LSRC) for Women, Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) and Hans Raj College. 

This year Chennai's Loyola College has been ranked 6th. Rama Krishna Mission Vivekananda Centenary College of West Bengal has come up from rank 9th to 8th position. 

There's a huge shift in the ranking of St. Xavier's College, Calcutta. Last year it was in the 17th position and this year it has come within the top 10 best colleges in the country, ranking at number 10.
