Apart from missed call, there are other ways of booking gas. Customers of IOC, HPCL and BPCL can also book gas cylinders through SMS and Whatsapp.
Indane Oil Corporation: How to book LPG Cylinder?
If you are an Indane customer, you can book LPG gas cylinder by calling on 7718955555 from your registered mobile number. Or you can also send a Whatsapp message on 7588888824 writing REFILL. The gas cylinder will be delivered at your doorstep.
Hindustan Petroleum: How to book LPG Cylinder?
HP customers can book LPG cylinders by sending a Whatsapp message to 9222201122. You just have to type BOOK from your registered mobile number and send it to the number 9222201122.

Bharat Gas: How to book LPG Cylinder?
Bharat Gas customers will have to send BOOK from registered mobile to 1800224344. After this, the agency will accept your booking request and an alert will come on your WhatsApp number.
LPG Subsidy update
LPG Prices have more than doubled in the last seven years. However, the government is trying to get LPG Prices under control. For this, the government is again considering restoring the subsidy on LPG cylinders. A proposal in this regard has been sent to the Finance Ministry.
It states that subsidy on LPG is being given in the states of Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh and Northeast. It needs to be started in other states of the country as well.
Note: No confirmation from the government’s end has been issued regarding the restoration of LPG Subsidy yet!
