If you are desirous of government jobs, then a big opportunity is coming your way. Department of Agriculture & Farmer’s Empowerment is inviting applications for 37 posts of Assistant Horticulture Officer Posts. These Positions are available under Orissa Public Service Commission.

The last date for applying for these posts is 30 September 2021. Candidates selected for Assistant Horticulture Officer post will get the pre-revised scale of pay Rs 9,300 – 34800 with grade pay of Rs 4600/-  or Level 10 of the pay matrix Revised as per ORSP rules 2017. This is one of the best government jobs for Agriculture graduates.

Eligibility:

  • The candidate must be a citizen of India.

  • The candidate must be able to read, write & speak Odia.

  • Candidates must have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Horticulture/Agriculture from any of the recognized Universities or Institutions.

Examination fee:

General: Rs 500/-

SC/ST/PwD: Nil

Selection Process:

The selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of written tests & Interviews.

Written Test: it will be MCQ based paper of 200 Marks with each question carrying one mark each. 0.25 Marks will be deducted for each wrongly answered question.

Interview: it shall consist of 25 Marks.

Place of Examination:

The Written Examination for the post of Assistant Horticulture Officers shall be held at Cuttack & Bhubaneshwar, depending upon the number of Candidates applied.

Application Process:

Candidates must go through the official notification on the website of OPCS before filling the online application form. Follow these steps given to apply online:

  • Log on to the official website of OPSC

  • The online application form available on the website is automated & it will guide the candidates to fill the application.

  • Candidates will have to upload the scanned image of latest Passport size photograph along with signature & scanned image Left hand – thumb impression in the online application.

  • On successful submission of the online application, a unique Permanent Public Service Account Number (PPSAN) will be assigned to the applicant.
