A one-day 'Prakritik Krishi Prashikshan Shivir' was successfully held on December 18, 2024, at Surya Sadhna Sthali, Jhinjhauli, Sonipat, Haryana. The event, conducted under the joint aegis of the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Sonipat, and the Surya Foundation, aimed to raise awareness about natural farming techniques, highlight their benefits and promote eco-friendly agricultural practices.
Over 200 Progressive Farmers Participated
The program saw enthusiastic participation from more than 200 progressive farmers from the Sonipat district. Distinguished guests graced the occasion, including M.C. Dominic, Founder & Editor-in-Chief of Krishi Jagran, as the Chief Guest. Special guests included Hemant Sharma, Vice President of Surya Foundation; Dr. Pawan Sharma, Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Sonipat; and B.K. Pramod, an Organic Agriculture Expert from Prajapita Brahmakumari Ishwariya Vishwavidyalaya, Sonipat.

During the camp, farmers were introduced to various aspects of natural farming. The program featured personal testimonies from 8-10 farmers, who shared their experiences of achieving better production through low-cost organic methods. In his motivational address, Chief Guest M.C. Dominic emphasized the importance of empowering farmers to become "millionaire farmers." He stated, "We aim to make farmers prosperous, bringing national and international recognition to their work. Our vision is to create an environment where the son of a farmer can aspire to become a doctor, engineer, or scientist, while the children of professionals feel proud to become farmers. Krishi Jagran is committed to elevating agriculture to this level."
