Renowned Agricultural Scientist Professor MS Reddy Shares Insights on Sustainable Agriculture at Krishi Jagran Chaupal

Professor MS Reddy, the esteemed Founder and Chairman of the Asian PGPR Society for Sustainable Agriculture, graced the Krishi Jagran office on Tuesday, December 19, for an insightful session at KJ Chaupal.

Mr Reddy was welcomed by Founder and Editor-in-Chief, Krishi Jagran, MC Dominic, who highlighted his vast expertise, saying, "Mr Reddy has got a huge exposure and experience with him, and now, he is giving it back to the society."

Professor Reddy's contributions to agricultural science are widely recognized, having trained numerous graduate, post-doctoral, and visiting scientists on both national and international platforms. His accolades include prestigious awards from the USA, Canada, and India, marking his global impact in the field.

A graduate of Canada with an impressive international footprint, having traversed nearly 45 countries, Reddy's career has been predominantly marked by influential tenures in Canada and the USA. His commitment to mentoring the next generation is evident, having counseled over 561 students from India and various other nations, many of whom have successfully obtained green cards.

"I have counselled over 561 students from India and other countries, who have now got a green card," said MS Reddy, Founder and Chairman,

"I have reached too unreach what I know so far," he said.

Reflecting on his journey, Professor Reddy humbly shared, "sometimes lobby with the government to help the community with new technology and natural farming with the help of AI and gene editing," he added. 

"I am fundamentally an agricultural scientist striving to improve seed quality and agricultural practices, advocating for organic farming methods to ensure healthier and sustainable food production," expressed Professor Reddy, encapsulating his mission succinctly.

His commitment to leveraging technology and sustainable practices to revolutionize agriculture highlights a visionary approach aimed at a more resilient and eco-friendly future for the farming community.
