Say hello to "World's Smallest Tomato"

NatureFresh Farms and Eminent Seeds NL joined hands to grow and market the world's smallest tomato 'Tomberry' in Canada, United States and Mexico. This exciting variety of tomato will be grown in Leamington, Ontario greenhouses. The pearl-sized Tomberry fits in your hand. The tomato is unique in size and it's about 0.5 to 1 cm in diameter weighing one to two grams. Visually, it is candy to the eyes. These small tomatoes are attractive to the food service industry for use in salads and hot dishes.

The development team of NatureFresh Farms have been working with Eminent Seeds Ltd. to explore the tomato variants that would fit the growing trend in the snacking category. NatureFresh will begin growing and commercially marketing this new variety of tomato in the spring of 2018. They are also planning  to expand the production of Tomberry over the next few years.
