In his address to the gathering, Chief Guest Tomar stated that India's global respect has grown as a result of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's personality and work, as well as his vision and commitment. Today, the world looks to India with the expectation that, if necessary, India will assist us in times of crisis.

Tomar stated that from now, the Amrit Mahotsav, until Amrit Kaal, when India celebrates 100 years of independence, our country should emerge as the 'Vishwa Guru' (world guru) and let the world proclaim 'India, the Best,' and that this is only possible if we all work together by adopting the basic mantra of 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas. Every citizen must work to understand this responsibility.

Union Minister Tomar emphasized the importance of the agriculture sector, saying that neither the Mughals nor the British could shake it. Our agriculture sector kept the country's economy running even during the Corona pandemic. Farmers produced bumper crops even during the Covid period, and the Centre provided free food grains to 80 crore people under PM Modi's leadership. The Modi government is working to help farmers. With this goal in mind, Agri-Rural Infrastructure is being strengthened.

He stated that the agriculture sector faces numerous challenges that must be addressed on a continuous basis. Farmers now have a security net thanks to Prime Minister Modi's Crop Insurance Scheme, which has settled claims worth Rs. 1.30 lakh crore and compensated farmers for their losses.

Tomar stated that in the current climate, awareness should be raised about which crops are more profitable for farmers and which technology should be available to farmers so that their farming is protected, costs are reduced, and profits are realised. Crop diversification, he said, is a necessity of the hour, and that the government is working in this direction to organise small farmers through FPOs in order to empower them.

Union Agriculture Minister Tomar stated that the Center has set a target of Rs. 20 lakh crore for the ambitious Kisan Credit Card scheme, the benefits of which are being reaped by our farmers. This scheme includes farmers from allied industries such as animal husbandry and fishing. The majority of small farmers continue to benefit from micro-irrigation schemes, Agriculture Infrastructure Funds, and other programmes.

Tomar, who emphasized farmer empowerment, stated that if farmers prosper, the country will progress. Referring to the United Nations' declaration of 2023 as the International Year of Millets on PM Modi's initiative, Tomar stated that farmers should move quickly in this direction.

Jharkhand should be known around the world as the Millets (Shree Anna) State, and the state government should make concerted efforts in this direction. The State Government should also make concerted efforts to establish Jharkhand as the Millets (Shree Anna) State in the world.

In the program MPs Sudarshan Bhagat and Sameer Oraon as well as Dr. Onkarnath Singh, Vice Chancellor of Birsa Agricultural University, Ranchi, Director of Mustard Research Directorate, Bharatpur Dr. P.K. Rai, Vice President of Vikas Bharti, Dr. Ranjana Chowdhary, Secretary Dr. Ashok Bhagat (Padma Shri), Joint Secretary Mahendra Bhagat and Dr. Sanjay Singh of KVK besides a large number of farmers & scientists were present.
