Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convenor and Delhi Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal, promised to waive loan waivers of ₹ 2 lakh to farmers in Gujarat if AAP wins the election. On the first of his two days in the state, which will soon have assembly elections, Mr. Kejriwal spoke to farmers in the Dwarka district.

Kejriwal has offered several pre-election promises during his frequent visits to the BJP-ruled state in recent months, including free and high-quality healthcare, free education in public schools, free electricity up to 300 units per month, Rs.3,000 in unemployment benefits, Rs.10 lakh government jobs, and Rs.1,000 monthly allowance for women.

According to AAP sources, Kejriwal was scheduled to meet with the village heads in Surendranagar on the first day of his current tour of the state.
