The Southwest Monsoon has now left many parts of India and the withdrawal line currently is passing through Kishanganj, Bankura, Jamshedpur, Seoni, Khargone, Baruch & Diu. Monsoon has said goodbye to states like Jharkhand, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, some parts of Chhattisgarh, West Bengal and Gujarat.

The southern as well as central parts of Chhattisgarh along with Vidarbha could receive light to moderate rainfall & thundershowers. However, northern parts of Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh & Gujarat will remain mostly dry. Weather in Mumbai and Bhopal will also remain dry.

In East & Northeast India, a Cyclonic Circulation is lying over North Andhra Pradesh. Therefore, central & southern parts of Odisha will witness light to moderate rainfall. Weather in Bihar, Jharkhand & West Bengal will remain dry. A Cyclonic Circulation is also lying over Bangladesh & neighbouring parts of Tripura. Due to this system, there can be light showers at scattered places in Sikkim, Mizoram, Tripura and Manipur.

In South India, a Cyclonic Circulation can be seen over coastal parts of Andhra Pradesh. A Trough is extending from this system towards Tamil Nadu. Hence light to moderate rainfall and thundershowers are expected to occur at many places over Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh & Telangana. Heavy rainfall is possible at isolated places over North Andhra Pradesh as well as South Interior Karnataka. Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Chennai will experience a warm and humid day.

Lastly in Northern part of India, because of prevalence of dry winds, dry weather will prevail over Northwest plains that include Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan & Uttar Pradesh. Weather in many parts of hilly region is also likely to remain dry. Talking about the weather in Delhi, the air quality in the National Capital will remain poor due to which people may face some problems.  As per the meteorologists, the National capital will probably keep encountering poor air quality in the coming days because of the prevailing wind direction & stubble burning from neigbouring states.

The overall Air Quality Index or AQI in Delhi reached the 301 mark by 10 pm yesterday (13 October 2019). Pollution level has slightly increased over entire Northwest India.
