Key warnings include heavy rainfall in parts of Tamil Nadu, Assam, and the Nicobar Islands, along with dense fog in northern India. Here’s a quick look at the forecast.

Cyclonic Systems Expected to Intensify

  • South Andaman Sea: An upper air cyclonic circulation is likely to form over the South Andaman Sea around November 21. It is expected to move west-northwestwards and develop into a low-pressure area over the southeast Bay of Bengal by November 23. This system could further intensify into a depression over the southwest Bay of Bengal during the subsequent two days.

  • South Tamil Nadu: A cyclonic circulation persists over south Tamil Nadu and the Comorin area in the lower tropospheric levels.
