The nuchinunde dumplings are one such item that you must try in this cuisine! If you're hearing about this dish for the first time, trust us when we say that these dumplings are everything delicious and healthy. This popular breakfast item in South India is made with two types of dal and spices, later steamed to perfection.

In comparison to our typical breakfast recipes, which may include paratha, poha, bread, or other items, these steamed dal dumplings are a great option if you want something light and non-oily for breakfast. Nuchinunde Dumplings Key Ingredients

• 1 cup toor dal, 1 cup chana dal, and 1 cup coconut

• 1/2 cup chopped coriander leaves

• 1 tablespoon ginger

• 1 tsp chilli powder

• Salt as per taste

Here's the Recipe to Make Nuchinunde Dumplings:

1. Soak toor dal and chana dal for a few minutes before blending with water. Make sure to form a coarse texture.

2. Place this mixture in a large mixing bowl and add coconut, curry leaves, coriander, ginger, cumin, heeng, chilli, and salt to taste. Mix them together.

3. You can, for instance, use equal amount of moong dal and masoor dal.

4. For a complete recipe, add dill and coriander leaves to the lentil dough. You can also add fresh pudina leaves to make it even more flavorful.

5. Shape the dumplings into a cylindrical shape and place them in the steamer.

6. Steam for about 20 minutes before serving.

7. Finally, when served without any sides, it may feel dry. If so, add some ghee as a topping to make it greasy and light.

It just takes 10-20 minutes to prepare this whole recipe.
