“What you sow, is what you reap” is as true in animal husbandry as it is in crop production. Your dairy animals deserve and need healthy and nutrient-rich food as input to give good quality by products in the form of milk. It is important that the animals should be fed with nutritious healthy fodder. The animals should be healthy for a healthy milk production. A energetic cow can give multiple times better result. A healthy animal digests the fodder in a better and efficient manner and for that to happen, the fodder should be of utmost quality.
To focus on the feed of our animals, and increase the productivity of their milk and focusing on t increase their energy level altogether, ADVANTA has launched, BMR Rocket- A unique product which is first time launched in India. This product is Hybrid BMR Sorghum, having low lignin content due to which it becomes more digestible and hence more energy is available to the animal per kg of fodder. It is a multi-cut product with more leaves and improves milk constituents in milk as well as milk of animal.
At the 12th PDFA International Dairy & Agri Expo organized by Progressive Dairy Farmer Association at Jagraon, Ludhiana District of Punjab from Dec 9-11, 2017. On 11th Dec,ADVANTA, one of the pioneer company in High Nutritive Forages having renowned and established product benefitting dairy farmers across India like Sugargraze, Nutrifeed, Jumbo Gold,Makkhan Grass, Delight along with inoculants like Max Digest & Smart Silage, launched many new Products to further benefit the Dairy Farmers and reduce the production cost per liter of Milk.
The launch was done by top officials from ADVANTA viz Mr. Sanjay Srivastava (National Sales Manager, Field Crops), Mr. G Prabhakar Babu (Lead Forages- Asia, Africa & Europe), Mr. Vivek Sharma (DGM),in presence of renowned dignitaries- Mr. Daljeet Singh (PDFA President), Mr. Satpal Singh Khehra (MLA & President AAP), Mr. Jagtar Singh Jagga (MLA Raikot), Mrs. Sarbjit Kaur Manuke (MLA AAP-Jagraon).
BMR Rocket is a fast growing sorghum x sudan forage hybrid, with the added advantage of the BMR trait. The BMR (which stands for brown mid-rib) trait means that the leaves and stems of the plants have a reduced lignin content. The benefit of reduced lignin is the forage will be more palatable, have enhanced digestibility and a higher energy content. The combined effect of higher energy content and increased palatability can result in significantly higher daily energy intake as stock can consume more forage and each kilogram of feed contains more available energy. This multiplier effect results in higher animal productivity. BMR Rocket is a sorghum x sudan hybrid but it performs more like a sudan x sudan in terms of its speed of growth, fine stems, prolific tillering and regrowth. These features make BMR Rocket very well suited for making hay and round bale silage and for grazing with cattle and sheep.
