Bhausaheb Navale, originally from Pune, Maharashtra, made a bold career shift by leaving his high-paying job of Rs 2.5 lakh per month (equivalent to Rs 30 lakh annually) to venture into entrepreneurship at the age of 50.

Unlike many who strive for a comfortable retirement, Navale was driven to start his own business during the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Navale's decision to quit his lucrative job raised eyebrows, but it has proven to be a successful choice. Before his entrepreneurial journey, Bhausaheb had worked overseas.

However, he decided to return to India and establish Green and Blooms Nursery in the Maval Taluka of Pune district, Maharashtra.

Armed with a B.Sc. in agriculture, Navale saw an opportunity amidst a job market struggling due to the pandemic. He set up an indoor pot plant nursery, initially operating from 27 units. Over time, his business expanded to occupy one acre and began shipping plants across the nation.

In the nursery founded by Bhausaheb Navale, he cultivated a diverse range of over a hundred plant varieties. His company now supplies plants to 300 nurseries across India.

Notably, Bhausaheb had a decade of experience growing roses in polyhouses in Ethiopia, which likely contributed to his horticultural expertise.

For almost 25 years, Navale had enjoyed a comfortable life with a monthly salary of Rs 2.5 lakhs, complete with all the amenities and comforts. However, in 2020, he decided to make a significant career shift back to his homeland and embark on his entrepreneurial journey, which has since blossomed into a multi-crore business.

Bhausaheb Navale's story serves as an inspiring example of late-stage entrepreneurship and the potential for success when one follows their passion and seizes opportunities, even in challenging times.

His determination to create his own business instead of planning for retirement has proven to be a rewarding and fulfilling choice.
