• Barwani Youth Transforms Lives of Lakhs of Rural Farmers via Agritech Startup, Earns PM Modi’s Praise

  True dedication towards the country and society, conquers all boundaries. India always resides in the hearts of Indians who have settled abroad due to work or studies. Atul Patidar was working in a Fortune 500 MNC in Toronto, Canada, after completing 4 post-graduation degrees from the top universities of the world. Deep down in his heart, he wanted to use his technical knowledge and capabilities to solve the problems of rural farmers.  4-years back, he started an agritech startup Farmkart in his hometown Barwani. Today, the startup is helping lakhs of Indian farmers thrive with user-friendly agritech products and services. 

• Govt. to Provide Subsidy on Smart Seeder to Reduce Paddy Residue Burning

  The Union Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare has added the 'Smart Seeder' created by Punjab Agriculture University (PAU), Ludhiana to the centrally funded subsidy program. The PAU's Research Evaluation Committee has approved using its smart seeder to sow wheat straight into paddy leftovers. The smart seeder effectively keeps the advantages of both happy seeder and super seeder in a single machine by incorporating surface mulching to manage the paddy residue.

• Nurture.Farm Collaborates with HDFC Ergo to Provide Crop Coverage to Farmers

  Agritech venture nurture.farm has partnered with HDFC ERGO General Insurance Company to improve and expand its insurance solutions for the platform's 2.3 million farmers. Most farmers do not purchase insurance because the premiums are too high and the paperwork is too time-consuming. Because of the widespread nature of this issue, nurture.farm intends to offer its insurance solutions to nearly 2 million farmers and will continuously innovate to provide risk mitigation solutions to boost farmer resilience, according to a statement from the company.
