PM Modi Appreciates the Efforts of Self Help Group of Women’
On 12th August (Thursday) Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while appreciating the women’s effort during the Covid-19 pandemic. Said that the way the ‘Self Help Group of women” have distributed the masks & sanitizers and have created an awareness among the citizens is unprecedented. PM Modi informed that there are over 42 crore Jan Dhan Bank accounts out of which only 55% are held by the women.

IMD Predicts Heavy Rainfall in these States from 12th to 15th Aug
On 12th August (Thursday) The India Meteorological Department said that the current spell of the widespread to heavy rains is very likely to continue over the Northeast India & Sub- Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim during 12th to 15th of August.

Sugar Exports of India Touches 5.11 mn Tonnes
On 12th August (Thursday) AISTA said that the, Sugar Mills have exported 5.11 million tonnes of sweetener so far in the ongoing 2020 to 2021 marketing year ending September with maximum shipments to the Indonesia trade body. About 2, 02,521 tonnes of 6, 78,237 tonnes of sugar is in transit for the delivery to port-based refineries. The sugar mills have contracted to export entire 6 million tone sugar quota assigned by food ministry in January.

Groww is an online investment platform, which established around 5 years ago said that 94.53% growth was observed for first time investor in July 2021 as compared to the last year.

Puri Jagannath Temple to Reopen on 23rd August
While the Covid-19 Pandemic situations are improving gradually, Puri Jagannath Temple of Odisha will be reopening for the public on 23rd August. In the first phase of the opening, the family members of servitors are allowed to enter into the temple, said the officials.
