    On 22nd December (Wednesday), the India Meteorological Department (IMD) anticipated rain in northwest India from December 26 to 29 and in the Western Himalayan Region from December 22 to 29. Cold Wave has abated in most sections of India's northwest plains over the last twenty-four hours, according to their forecast. In the latest weather update, they have stated that light isolated to scattered rainfall & snowfall likely over Western Himalayan Region on 24th & 25th December. In one of a report, it was mentioned that the northern parts of Punjab & Haryana are likely to receive light isolated rainfall on 24th & 25 December.

    On 21st December (Tuesday), a magnitude 3.3 earthquake struck Bangalore, Karnataka, according to the National Center for Seismology (NCS). "Earthquake of Magnitude: 3.3, Occurred on 22-12-2021, 07:14:32 IST, Lat: 13.55 and Long: 77.76, Depth: 23 Km, Location: 66km NNE of Bangalore, Karnataka," the government's central agency for earthquake monitoring in India tweeted.

  • Karnataka Govt. Announces Reservation for Transgender in Police Department

    Good news for transgender people in Karnataka, the state government has agreed to give them a 1% reservation in all police posts. Praveen Sood, Karnataka's DG and IGP, called it a game-changing decision. This, he claims, will assist to shift people's minds towards transgender people. "We have taken a ground-breaking decision to grant one percent reservation to transgender in every police department," he said.

     

  • Delhi’s Air Quality “Very Poor”, Noida’s Slips to Critical

    According to data from the System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting And Research (SAFAR), Delhi's air quality is in the very poor' category today, with an AQI of 385. Noida's air quality, on the other hand, has slid into the 'critical' category, while Gurugram's is in the 'very poor category. Noida and Gurugram have air quality indexes of 507 and 319, respectively. Low wind speeds and very cold temperatures are generating similar conditions in the Delhi-NCR region, according to SAFAR.
