  • To increase the income of small farmers, the government is setting up FPO's

    On February 28, Monday, the agricultural minister, Narendra Singh Tomar, said that the government is planning to focus on setting more FPOs (Farmer Producer Organisation) to boost the income of small farmers. The government has already begun a strategy to establish 10,000 FPOs with a budget of Rs 6,865 crores. The initiative is being executed at a fast pace.

  • Give Relief to Farmers in 15 days: Selja

    On February 26, Kumari Selja, Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee has demanded compensation from the state government for the farmers by getting a giradwari conducted. She demanded that compensation be provided within a fortnight to the farmers whose crops were destroyed due to hailstorms and heavy rains.

     

  • Purabi Dairy Conducts Weeklong Scientific Beekeeping Training Programme

    Purabi Dairy, Assam's largest dairy cooperative, held a week-long scientific beekeeping training program at Hajo in Assam's Kamrup district. The training program began on February 21 and ended on February 27. The program was organized at the Regional Institute of Livestock Entrepreneurship Management.

    The Haryana state Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on February 27, addressed the 38th state-level livestock exhibition in Bhiwani. He said that the government will implement various livestock programs in order to improve the breed of milch animals. He also advised the farmers to use less chemical fertilizers and pesticides in their crops.
