The central government along with the state government have been initiating different schemes to implement solar energy across the country. According to reports, the Uttar Pradesh government is running the project in collaboration with the central government's grid-connected rooftop solar power plant scheme and the Renewable Energy Development Agency (NEDA) and Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation. Moreover, domestic consumers will also get subsidy under this scheme.

Application Process for Solar Energy

According to media reports, Madhyanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Managing Director Suryapal Gangwar said that the target of 19 MW in this project has been allocated to this discom. Out of which target of 7.75 MW has been achieved. The benefit of this project is being given on the lines of 'first come, first serve'.

Government will Give Rs. 30,000 Subsidy

The center is giving 40 percent subsidy from 1 to 3 kW. According to the Managing Director of Madhyanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam, the central government subsidy is 40% for domestic solar combination capacity of one to three kilowatts. The state government is giving a subsidy of Rs 15,000 per kW on this. The central government is giving 40 percent additional subsidy up to 3 kW and 20 percent on additional 7 kW for solar consumers above 3 kW and up to 10 kW. At the same time, the state government is also giving a maximum subsidy of 30 thousand rupees on this to consumers.
