DBT: Rs 18.253 Crore Paid to 9.13 crore Farmers under PM-Kisan; Check Online, Offline Registration Process

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on 9th May 2020 said that banks have provided the three-month loan moratorium to around 3 crore farmers in the country for loans totalling Rs 4.22 lakh crore.

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on 9th May 2020 said that banks have provided the three-month loan moratorium to around 3 crore farmers in the country for loans totalling Rs 4.22 lakh crore.

In a tweet, Finance Minister said eligible borrowers were also given emergency credit lines and their working capital limits were increased by the public sector banks (PSBs). Sitharaman said, “Since March 2020, around 9.13 crore farmers have been given Rs 18,253 crore under PM-KISAN scheme during the #lockdown. About 3 crore farmers with agri loans totaling Rs 4,22,113 crore availed the benefit of the three-month loan moratorium”.

It must be noted that under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi yojana, every farmer gets Rs 6,000 of income support every year in 3 equal instalments directly into their bank account.

Earlier this month, the government had released the first instalment of PM Kisan scheme to help farmers during the lockdown imposed to prevent the spread of Coronavirus.

Step 1- Go to the official website of PM-Kisan - pmkisan.gov.in.

Step 2 – Look for ‘FARMER CORNERS’ on the homepage

Step 3 - Then click on ‘NEW FARMER REGISTRATION’ link

Step 4 - A new window will open wherein you have to fill in few details like Aadhaar card & Capcha.

Step 5 - Then tap on click to continue.

Step 6 – Enter your name, mobile number, bank and land details etc

Step 7 - Finally save & submit the form

* After completing the registration process, a reference number will be generated. Keep this number safely for all future references.

PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana Registration: Offline 

Go to the nearest common service centers (CSCs). Meet the official in charge and tell him that you want to register for the scheme and give all important documents like Aadhaar card, bank account number etc. Once the enrolment is done you will get a reference or registration number through which you can keep checking PM-Kisan status.
