Good News! Farmers will Get Next Installment of Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana This Diwali

On Diwali, farmers in Chhattisgarh will receive the third payment under the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana.

The Chief Minister, Bhupesh Baghel, made this declaration on Tuesday during his public interaction program, "Bhent Mulaqat," at Chaple in the Raigarh district.

On May 21, 2020, Baghel introduced the flagship Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay scheme, which offers farmers direct financial payments.

Additionally, the Chief Minister announced the opening of a Swami Atmanand English Medium School in Chaple, gave the annual Kali Mata Fair a grant of Rs. 10 lakhs, promised to turn the Chaple Police Assistance Center into a police station, and pledged to construct a community hall and a PDS building.

Furthermore, he announced the opening of a hostel for OBC boys and girls in Kharsia as well as sonography and CT scan services at the Community Health Center.

About Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana

A provision of Rs 5700 crore was made for the welfare of farmers in the state budget presented by the Chhattisgarh government, through which the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana was launched on 21 May 2020, the martyrdom day of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi.

Chhattisgarh has a total cultivable land area of 46.77 lakh hectares. The state's population is 70% agriculturally based, and there are roughly 37.46 lakh farmer families.

This scheme aims to promote crop production and expand the agriculture sector. Four installments totaling Rs. 5750 crores from the plan were deposited into the accounts of the farmers. This scheme helps the state's 19 lakh farmers.
