ICAR- CPCRI Receives Best Centre of the Year 2019-20 Award

The ICAR-Central Plantation Crops Research Institute (CPCRI), Kasaragod got the Best Centre of the Year 2019-20 Award at the 35th annual workshop of the All India Coordinated Research Project on Post-Harvest Engineering & Technology (AICRP on PHET) held at Jawaharlal Nehru Krishi Vishwa Vidyalaya (JNKVV) in Jabalpur.

The ICAR-Central Plantation Crops Research Institute (CPCRI), Kasaragod got the Best Centre of the Year 2019-20 Award at the 35th annual workshop of the All India Coordinated Research Project on Post-Harvest Engineering & Technology (AICRP on PHET) held at Jawaharlal Nehru Krishi Vishwa Vidyalaya (JNKVV) in Jabalpur.

The ICAR-CPCRI is one of the 31 centers that come under AICRP on PHET. The award was given for its outstanding contribution in the development & popularization of technologies.

According to a media release, the ICAR-CPCRI had transferred 4 new technologies to 5 entrepreneurs and 4 existing technologies to 16 entrepreneurs. It had released 5 new value added products, took part in 7 krishi melas, trade fairs, exhibitions, technology & machinery demonstration melas. The institution also published 6 research articles in international research journals & 9 technical popular articles & and received 1 patent.

Dr. M.R. Manikantan, principle scientist of the CPCRI & Dr. R. Pandiselvan, scientist received the award from Dr. P.K. Bisen, JNKVV Vice Chancellor in the presence of Dr. S. N. Jha, ADG (Process Engineering) & Dr. S. K. Tyagi, Project Coordinator of AICRP on PHET.
