Farmers are the soul of our nation.  But in the present lockdown situation, the Annadatta’s are facing many difficulties.  They are not able to harvest their crops, as there are no farm labourers available due to lockdown in the country. Not only this, heavy rainfall and thunderstorm last month had destroyed several crops in North India. Central government as well as state government has been trying to bring different schemes and initiatives to help the farmers come out of this situation.

With the aim to provide some relief to the farmers in the country, the state government of Maharashtra has taken a good step. This time, the Maharashtra government is helping the farmers by waiving off their loans. It is important to mention that, amidst the fight against deadly COVID-19 or Coronavirus that has killed so many people all over the world, the Maharashtra government has decided to give big relief to the farmers. As per reports, The Uddhav Thackeray government has transferred round Rs. 12,000 crore in to the bank accounts of farmers under the Kisan Karz Mafi Yojana.
