District supply officer, GB Nagar Soni Gupta, said that “Like last year (2021), this year too, the process of purchasing wheat would be completely online and the payment to the cultivators against the purchase of their crop will be made through the public financial management system. In order to ensure hassle-free transfer to the farmers, we have also asked them to mention their individual bank account details in place of joint bank accounts.”

He said for making the payment procedure more transparent, the bank account and Aadhaar details should be mapped on the website of the National Payment Corporation of India.
