PM Kisan Latest Update: 13th Installment Likely to Be Released Soon; Check Details

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has recently released the 12th installment of PM Kisan Yojana and now farmers are waiting for the next or 13th installment of the scheme. Read on to know when will government release the next installment of PM Kisan.

PM Kisan 13th Installment Date

The first installment of Rs. 2000 under the scheme is given to farmers between April 1 & July 31, the second installment is released between August 1 & November 30 and the third installment of the year is transferred between December 1 & March 31.

Last year the third installment was released on January 1 hence chances are there that this time too the government will transfer the money in January. However, there has been no official announcement by the government regarding this.

Farmers who haven’t registered for Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana can do it now so that they can also receive the next installment.

How to register for PM Kisan Yojana?

Basically, there are two ways to register for the scheme – one is offline and the other is online;

PM Kisan Offline registration process

Farmers will have to visit the local revenue officer (patwari) or nodal officer nominated by the state government to register for PM Kisan scheme. Besides, they can contact the nearest Common Service Centres (CSCs) for registration. All you need to do is carry all important documents and submit it to the official in charge at the CSC.

PM Kisan Online registration process

For self-registration, go to the official website of PM Kisan Yojana. Now look for the 'farmers' corner' section on the right side of homepage. Then click on ‘New Farmer Registration’. Here you will find two options - Rural Farmer Registration and Urban Farmer Registration. If you are from a rural area choose the first option or else the second one.

Documents required for PM-Kisan Yojana

  • Aadhaar card

  • Mobile number

  • Landholding papers

  • Bank account details

Who is eligible for PM Kisan?

  • Farmers with cultivable land in their names are eligible for this scheme

  • Farmers from both urban & rural areas

Who is not eligible for PM Kisan?

  • Institutional landholders

  • Those currently working or retired officers or employees of state/central government and PSUs / government autonomous bodies.

  • Those with high economic status are not eligible for the scheme

  • Farmers who pay income tax

  • Those holding constitutional posts

  • Professionals like lawyers, doctors, engineers etc.

  • Those who get monthly pension of over Rs 10,000
