Good News for the beneficiaries of PM Kisan Yojana. The Government said that it would disburse the next installment or 8th installment of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana next month.
It must be noted that the 7th installment under the scheme was released on 25th December 2020. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had released more than Rs. 18,000 crore to over 9 crores beneficiary farmer families via video conferencing.
As we know that under the scheme, the Centre provides financial help of Rs. 6000 to the farmers via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) in three installments per year. PM Kisan yojana was announced by Union Minister Piyush Goyal during the 2019 interim Budget.
Important Details regarding PM Kisan 8th installment:
Here are some important things that the farmers must keep in mind;
1. Registration for PM Kisan can be done online and offline. In order to apply online, farmers have to go to the official website - https://pmkisan.gov.in/. At the farmer’s portal section on homepage, they will have to click on ‘new farmer registration’. After that, fill in the required details like name, aadhaar number, mobile number, bank details etc. Finally submit the form.
2. Farmers can also visit the nearest Common service centres or CSCs for registration.
3. Another important point to note is that - farmers’ from both urban and rural areas can register for the scheme. But, farmers who pay income tax, are institutional landowners or retired pensioners with monthly pensions above 10,000 are not eligible for this scheme.
4. Aadhaar card is compulsory for registration under PM Kisan. Besides this, landholding papers & bank account details also has to be submitted.
