Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in her address on the final tranche of Rs 20 lakh crore economic package said that as many as 8.19 crore beneficiary farmers of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme have received the first installment of Rs 2,000 under Government’s Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana.
Sitharaman said, “One time of Rs 2,000 has reached 8.19 crore farmers in the country - a total amount of Rs 16,394 crore. NSAP beneficiaries received Rs 1,405 crore in the first installment & Rs 1,402 crore in second installment, target of Rs 3,000 crore nearly achieved”.
What is PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme
PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme popularly known as PM-KISAN is a Central government scheme with 100 percent funding from the Government of India.
After the launch of PM Kisan scheme, five installments of Rs 2,000 have been transferred to the farmers and the sixth installment will be distributed soon. If the amount of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme has not come in your account then you can still get it.
The new list PM-Kisan 2020 is being uploaded on the official website pmkisan.gov.in. If you have applied and want to know whether your name is in the list to get Rs. 6000 annually then you will have to visit the website. The names of farmers who have recieved the benefit of this scheme by the government can also be seen according to the state / district wise / tehsil / village. In this, the government has uploaded the complete list of all the beneficiaries.
Important documents for PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme
Aadhaar Card - It is mandatory to give Aadhaar card to avail the benefit of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana.
Bank Account Number – In this scheme the government transfers money to farmers through DBT hence you must have a valid Bank Account linked with Aadhaar card.
