Spreading appeal of Technology and Innovation : AgriWorld Japan

Well known for its technological invasion, Japan presented another exemplary instance wherein more than 43,000 visitors appreciated the 3 day show which took place in Makuhari Messe, Tokyo. Starting from 10 October, Agri World 2018, was a conglomeration of 5 divisions which truly did justice to the name of the show.

Well known for its technological invasion, Japan presented another exemplary instance wherein more than 43,000 visitors appreciated the 3-day show which took place in Makuhari Messe, Tokyo. Starting from 10 October, Agri World 2018, was a conglomeration of 5 divisions which truly did justice to the name of the show.

The concurrent shows which shared the roof of Agri World 2018 were :

8th International Agricultural Material & Technology Expo Tokyo (AGRI TECH), 5th Next Generation Agriculture Expo Tokyo (AGRI NEXT) and

3rd Farmers’ Processing & Sales Support Expo Tokyo.

In times, when the average age of a farmer is rising up, efforts aimed to expand the scale of agricultural operations and realizing labor saving and low-cost operations by introducing cutting-edge technologies from interdisciplinary fields such as Information and Technology (ICT) was well demonstrated at the Agri Next section. IT solutions for agriculture, Drone technology, Plant factory products & technology and Photovoltaic generation systems for farm among others displayed Japan’s future generation technology.

In its maiden attempt, the International livestock supply & equipment expo at the premises highlighted the livestock products as milk, dairy products, beef, pork, chicken and eggs among others showcasing blends of nutritious feed and technology for productivity improvement.

Every component of farming from seeds, to chemicals to advanced engineering was well presented at this show. The special section of gardening tools and floriculture took special attention with their much-decorated stalls. Japanese floral art of kudo was highlighted at various booths. Kado, also called "ikebana" is the Japanese art of creating and appreciating of floral arrangements by using seasonal flowers along with various materials. Other exhibitors in this section belonged from Africa, Taiwan, China, India, Holland including others.

Mr. Ryo Matsubara, International Sales & Marketing Manager, Reeds exhibition tells Agriculture World, “ The number of exhibitors who participated solely in Agri World is about 620. Overall 1,330 companies participated to interact with their potential customers and partners. Companies from all over the world are flowing in to participate in Agri World Japan, which again is apparent by the fact that the next year’s booking has already been started. About 25 countries are exhibiting, but you can see visitors from every continent. “

With a very rich exhibitors profile, All kinds of agricultural supplies & technologies including Substrate, Agrichemical, Fertiliser, Agricultural machinery, Measuring system, Horticultural supply, Livestock supply etc. participated in the exhibition which concluded on 12 October 2018. The show has witnessed increased numbers of visitors and exhibitors which is sure sign of the show’s success.
