More than 50000 farmers of UP will be able to get agricultural machines at subsidized rates through the grant provided by the State Government. These instruments will be distributed on a first come first serve basis.

The registration process was to start from Monday, but after the unfortunate demise of former Chief Minister Kalyan Singh the dates were changed. Registration has started from 3 PM, 24 August, Tuesday, onwards and will be open till Thursday, August 26. The farmers had to face a lot of problems in the first phase of booking due to a glitch in portal.

The state government said that through online booking, the right person will be able to avail the benefit of the scheme and there will be no changes in the cost of grant or equipment.

According to the Pardarshi Kisan Seva Yojana, only the registered farmers of the state will be eligible for the grant. Farmers who are associated with Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs), National Rural Livelihoods Mission (NLRM) or other Farmer Organisations can get the token by filling in the Registration Number.

Joint Agriculture Director, RK Singh said “Scheduled castes, scheduled tribes and women, small and marginal farmers will get 50 per cent subsidy and there is 40 per cent subsidy for other farmers with its target of 19,969. Importantly, the farmer groups will get a grant of up to 40 per cent on Rs 10 lakh, so that they will be able to buy tractors and other equipment. The booking for the same will start on August 26.”

How to Apply for this Scheme?

To take advantage of this Scheme, the registered farmers will have to generate a token, for which first of all they have to go the official website of the Pardarshi Kisaan Seva Yojana at http://upagriculture.com/ and the process for token request can be generated from the website.
