If you enjoy gardening and want to turn your hobby into a business. Then I have a wonderful suggestion for you. People have been more mindful of health and hygiene throughout the corona period, and they now favor nutritious cuisine over junk food. Microgreens are another healthy meal option. The best part is that you can easily grow microgreens at home and profit handsomely.

What are Microgreens?

Microgreens are small veggies that are around 2-3 inches tall and are also the early leaves of some plants. These are created from vegetable and herb seedlings. Microgreens, the baby versions of greens, are thought to be healthier than full-grown greens.

How to do Microgreen farming at your home?

  • Microgreen cultivation is a simple process. It will be considerably easier for you if you already have some gardening experience.

  • You will require soil/ coco peat, organic fertilizer/ home-made fertilizer, trays, and seeds.

  • The initial investment is little, and you can expect to see positive results in as little as 2-3 weeks.

  • You can begin microgreens farming with correct calculations of the number of seeds required and the number of trays required based on the quantity of greens being grown.

  • Then, poke small holes in the trays and prepare them by mixing the potting ingredients listed above.

  • The seeds can then be placed in trays. It is not necessary to cover some greens with dirt. However, other greens, such as peas and sunflowers, need to be kept in contact with the soil and covered with trays.

  • Depending on growing conditions, you can harvest microgreens within a week or two.
