Preparing compost and using it to enhance the soil is a wonderful idea for individuals who are considering or have already started organic farming. It is the most convenient method of supplying nutrients to plants.

It also saves money and helps in the environmentally friendly management of kitchen waste.

Composting may be done in a variety of ways, despite the fact that the basic procedure is the same. Gardeners have complete control over what gets into the compost pile and what does not. Deepak Kushwaha, a terrace garden specialist from Narsinghpur, Madhya Pradesh, demonstrates how to compost potato peels.

Potatoes are a popular vegetable that may always be found in the kitchen. "Potato skins play an important role in plant development. Potassium, magnesium, phosphorus, and a variety of vitamins are abundant in the peels. All of these nutrients help the plants develop faster. The composts may be applied to any plant at any time of year."

Are you giving it a thought? If yes, then you just have to have a minimum for making the peel compost.

Essentials:

  1. Potato peels that have been discarded

  2.  Water (1 liter)

  3. A container or a box
